Granddaughter of General Marquis de La Fayette , Mathilde de La Fayette was born in Auteuil on May 7, 1805; she died in Paris on April 12, 1886. She married Maurice de Pusy on June 12, 1832. Their grandson, Gilbert de Pusy La Fayette , married Marie-Louise Dumas in Vollore on July 17, 1900. The eldest son of this couple, Jean de Pusy La Fayette , died for France on February 2, 1945. From his marriage on July 16, 1942, to Ghislaine de Montalivet , was born an only daughter, Geneviève, Madame Aubert La Fayette . The current owner of the Château de Vollore, she is pleased to welcome you there today.
