Description

Our winery restaurant offers authentic, healthy, and delicious cuisine . The fruits, vegetables, and aromatic herbs come from our organic kitchen garden and medieval garden. The meats and cheeses are sourced from local, organic farmers through short supply chains. These are complemented by the Abbey's elegant and fruity organic wines. Since 2024, Laura and Geoffrey have joined the Abbey team and manage the winery restaurant. They maintain the same philosophy as before, while adding their own personal touch. Everything is fresh, local, homemade, and organic . Dogs are welcome on leashes. A set menu of €25 per person is required; additional drinks and food will be charged separately on-site.

Valmagne Abbey

Valmagne Abbey

Valmagne is one of the best-preserved Cistercian abbeys. Founded in 1138 by Raymond Trencavel, Viscount of Béziers, Valmagne Abbey was one of the wealthiest abbeys in southern France during the 12th and 13th centuries. Initially Benedictine, it joined the Cistercian order in 1159. Its Gothic church (1257) was built on the foundations of a Romanesque church. Inspired by the great cathedrals of northern France, it measures 83 meters in length and 23 meters in height.

ACCESS: The Abbey is located on the D5 between Montagnac and Villeveyrac, directly above Mèze.

By motorway: From Nîmes, exit at Sète, then Mèze. At the second roundabout, turn right → towards the abbey (8 km).
From Béziers, exit at Agde, then Pézenas, Montagnac → towards Villeveyrac (7 km).
