The Domaine de l'Abbaye de Thiron-Gardais invites you to discover one of the most remarkable witnesses to the religious and cultural history of the region. Founded in the 12th century by Saint Bernard de Monthieu , the Abbey of Thiron was the seat of the Order of Tiron, an influential monastic order whose priories and abbeys extended across France and as far as Scotland.

The abbey church, a true architectural gem, remains one of the main testimonies to the grandeur of Thiron Abbey , founded in the 12th century. This historic site was the heart of the Order of Tiron , a monastic order whose influence extended far beyond the borders of France, comprising more than 120 priories and abbeys, including in the Scottish Highlands.
This place, steeped in history, invites you to explore a rich heritage, both spiritual and cultural, while enjoying the beauty of the surroundings.
Escape Games:
Whether with family (adult supervision is required for children under 16) or with colleagues: You are locked in a room as a team. Search the room for clues. Gather your clues and communicate within your team. Solve puzzles to try and escape.

Riches en <strong>formes</strong>, <strong>couleurs</strong> et <strong>parfums</strong>, ces jardins offrent une immersion unique dans l’univers monastique médiéval.</p>
<p>Inaugurée à l’été 2006, la <strong>Grange aux Dîmes</strong> accueille les visiteurs et retrace l’histoire passionnante de l’un des ordres religieux les plus influents du Moyen Âge. Un <strong>parcours d’interprétation</strong> guide petits et grands à travers les jardins, ponctué par les aventures de <strong>Renart, le goupil</strong>, compagnon malicieux qui rend la visite ludique et éducative.</p>
