Beaumesnil Castle - Cultural Visits
The Château de Beaumesnil invites you to discover the elegance of its interiors and the richness of its furnishings. Among the most remarkable rooms, you will visit the "Madame's" apartments, the Grand Salon , and the library , which is one of the château's centerpieces. The library is a striking example of 17th-century style, with its grand fireplace, revolving gallery, and majestic royal portrait of Marie de Medici.
The visit will also allow you to appreciate the Louis XV woodwork and the old paintings that decorate the castle's reception rooms.
The castle also houses a bookbinding museum , an exceptional collection acquired by Jean Fürstenberg, a passionate collector. This museum displays antique bookbindings, from the 16th century to the present day, offering a fascinating glimpse into the work of bookbinders throughout the centuries. An introductory video will immerse you in the art of bookbinding and gilding before you discover a selection of works illustrating this craft.
The Château de Beaumesnil, with its park and architectural treasures, offers an immersion into the history and art of the 17th and 18th centuries.
