Description
The Rarécourt de la Vallée estate houses the Musée de la Faïence (Earthenware Museum ), a place dedicated to the art of earthenware, particularly pieces from Les Islettes and Waly dating back to the 19th century. Among the objects on display, you can admire creations such as tureens, flower frogs, and earthenware bouquets, as well as utilitarian items like inkwells and milk jugs. Each object reflects the aesthetics and ingenuity of the potters of that era.

Visitors will also discover dishes decorated with floral motifs typical of the period, as well as more specific pieces, such as the Marshal's Dish , decorated in homage to this historical figure. This museum offers a fascinating immersion into the history of 19th-century earthenware, with a rich collection that testifies to the quality and diversity of the craftsmanship of the time.
