A must-see site in Moselle, in Domrémy-la-Pucelle. What to see and do in Domrémy-la-Pucelle, the birthplace of Joan of Arc:
Visit the birthplace of Joan of Arc, purchased in 1818 by the Vosges Department and listed as a Historical Monument in 1840. Visit the "Faces of Joan" Interpretation Centre, with a range of activities based on a new concept of cultural tourism. It comprises three spaces: the Ambulatory, the Great Exhibition Gallery, and the Projection Room, offering a visit lasting from one to three hours. Also worth discovering: The Church of Joan's Baptism. This building has undergone transformations over the centuries, the most significant being its change of orientation in 1824. Inside, dating from Joan's time, are the holy water font (13th century), the statue of Saint Margaret, and the baptismal font. The Basilica of Saint Joan of Arc. 1.5 km from the village stands the Basilica of Bois Chenu. Begun in 1881 and consecrated in 1926, it was built on the spot where Joan heard "her voices". Illuminated every evening, it majestically overlooks the Meuse valley.

The site is open to the public from February 1st to December 15th, on the following days and times: February, March and from October 1st to December 15th: from 10am to 1pm and from 2pm to 5pm, except Tuesdays April, May, June and September: from 9:30am to 1pm and from 2pm to 6pm, except Tuesdays July-August: from 10am to 6:30pm, every day Last entry, 30 minutes before the site closes.

The Joan of Arc Birthplace website offers several ticket options. In addition to single entry, you can purchase a "combined" ticket which also grants you access to the Gallo-Roman site of Grand OR the Vaucouleurs Museum at a discounted price.

C'est dans le jardin de la <strong>maison natale de Jeanne d'Arc</strong>, à proximité de l'église (XIIIème siècle), comme l'héroine le dit à ses juges, qu'elle entendit pour la première fois (1425) <strong><em>la voix</em></strong> qui devait lui révéler sa <strong><em>mission</em></strong>.
La maison demeura dans sa famille jusqu'au XVIème siècle. Le tympan de la porte d'entrée (1481) est décoré des armoiries de son neveu, Claude du Lys. Site historique par excellence.
