Ban-de-Sapt, Vosges, Greater East, France
Located in Ban-de-Sapt, in the heart of the Vosges Mountains, the Callunes Gardens were created between 1994 and 1996, inspired by landscape architect Jacques Couturieux. This 4-hectare landscaped park is nestled in nature. Formerly on the German side (the trench is still visible), its most distinctive feature remains the conversion of a former quarry into a landscaped botanical garden.
The landscaped park has since undergone various changes in its garden layout.
Now a private garden, it has been managed by Thomas and Anaïs since December 2025 in order to make these gardens magical, and to make them known to as many people as possible!
The Callunes Gardens are designed to offer a varied and captivating experience to each visitor, thanks to a layout in eight landscaped zones:
The Callunes Gardens offer much more than a simple walk in nature. They are a true place of discovery where the diversity of landscapes and the richness of the plant life guarantee a unique experience. Whether for a family visit, a relaxing moment alone, or an outing with friends, this park is a haven of peace for all nature lovers.
