Château de la Bourbansais and Zoological Park - Cultural Visit

The Château de la Bourbansais , built on Gallo-Roman ruins at the end of the 16th century, has been a listed historical monument since 1959. Its architecture and magnificent French-style gardens , inspired by the work of Le Nôtre, are a remarkable testament to the classicism of the grand parks of the period. You can discover rooms of great beauty and explore the gardens adorned with superb 18th-century statues.

The castle offers guided tours of the interior, with different times depending on the season. Tours are available from April 1st to September 30th. In addition, the zoo and gardens are open daily from April to September, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with reduced hours in autumn and winter (2:00 PM to 6:00 PM).

For a day at La Bourbansais, the "La Palmeraie" restaurant and snack bar are open to visitors from 11:30 am to 6:00 pm. Lunch is served at the restaurant from noon to 2:00 pm. At the snack bar, you can have your meal (pre-booked) from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm.

Entertainment and Shows:

La Bourbansais is also a vibrant place where visitors can enjoy captivating events and shows . You will have the opportunity to see birds of prey up close, including the golden eagle in a spectacular lure flight, as well as stag hunts with a magnificent pack of "Français-Tricolore" hounds.

Animal Feeding Time is a fun activity that allows you to observe the care given to the park's animals up close, with daily demonstrations. You will also discover the Geladas , a unique and endangered primate species, and watch training demonstrations with birds of prey and other animals.
