Demigny Castle
Home of the Marquis de Foudras, renowned author of hunting novels, and later owned by Emile Guimet, the celebrated Orientalist.
Located 10 km from Beaune, the current château, dating from the Directoire period, was rebuilt after the French Revolution on the site of a former fortress.
Features include a grand entrance gate and a substantial wine press dating from the 18th century. The Directoire-style salons offer panoramic views of the surrounding vineyards. The château also houses a museum dedicated to 18th- and 19th-century hunting in Burgundy and a kitchen garden.
New facilities allow the château to host events, exhibitions, and seminars (either in the château itself for smaller groups or VIPs, or in the outbuildings: 180 m² and more, situated in the heart of the park).
