The Château Guillaume-Le-Conquérant , located in Falaise, invites you to discover the fascinating history of William the Conqueror and the Anglo-Norman epic through an enriching and immersive journey.

Falaise Castle houses two iconic square keeps, testifying to the Anglo-Norman architecture developed by William the Conqueror and his successors after the conquest of England in 1066. This historic site immerses you in the fascinating world of the medieval period and the Norman dynasty through its remains and interactive animations.

Opening Hours and Prices

Individual journey:

• Open every day from 10am to 6pm
• Last entry at 5pm
• Exceptionally closed on December 25th and January 1st.
• Exceptional closing at 5:00pm on December 24th and 31st.
• Annual closure from January 6th to February 6th.

Enjoy a self-guided tour with touch tablets, allowing you to discover the spaces in augmented reality, replicas of furniture, video projections, stories and archaeological objects.

Guided tours (no extra charge):

• Weekends and during school holidays (February to June and September to January) at 3:30 p.m.
• In summer (from July 5th to September 1st): visits at 10:30am, 3:30pm and 5pm.

Explore the castle's three dungeons and delve into the history of the figures who shaped this iconic place. The tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
