What to see and do at Canon Castle
Canon, an iconic site: a precious witness to the Age of Enlightenment, the Château de Canon has been preserved in its original state since the second half of the 18th century. This complete preservation, without modern additions, makes it an exceptional example of the architecture and style of the period. Due to its authenticity, the château and its grounds, including the park, gardens, and follies, are listed as Historic Monuments.
Canon's Fairy Tales:
The castle has been the site of spectacular events, such as the "Cannon Extravaganzas," which featured 18th-century dinners, equestrian and falconry displays, and a historical projection on the castle's facade, accompanied by fireworks and Mozart music. These events, scheduled over several dates, allowed visitors to relive the castle's history, from the Bérenger family to the Mézerac family.
