Beaumesnil Castle
The French jewel of Baroque art! Encircled by a moat and nestled in a vast forest setting, Beaumesnil, a dazzling apotheosis with sumptuous facades, reigns supreme in the middle of a park designed by La Quintinie, gardener to the Sun King. And it is a paradise of 10,000 volumes—ancient, rare, and sublime books, bound, gilded, and patinated by the hands of kings, popes, princes, and cardinals.
