Valmagne Abbey welcomes you for an immersion in medieval history and architecture. Situated in a picturesque setting, the abbey is a place of tranquility and contemplation, perfect for an enriching cultural visit.

Schedules :

Season (April 15 to September 30): Open Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Closed on Mondays, except Mondays in July, August, and September. Off-Season (October 1 to April 14): Open Tuesday to Friday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Saturdays, Sundays, bank holidays, and public holidays from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Closed on Mondays, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Closed Sunday mornings in January. Dogs allowed on leashes. Tickets for the Abbey entitle you to: - A VISIT to the ABBEY (approximately 1 hour): Guided tour or self-guided tour with informational materials in your preferred language: English, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, or Russian. - A TASTING of our organic wines. - The VARIETY CONSERVATORY, showcasing the different grape varieties used in our organic wines. - The Gatehouse, a small wine museum, a 13th-century building (serving as both the Gatekeeper's Lodge and the Chapel for Foreigners). - The Medieval Garden, showcasing a variety of vegetables, fruit trees, and medicinal plants used by monks in the Middle Ages. - Temporary Exhibitions. The abbey frequently hosts exhibitions, both painting and themed, which can be viewed during the visit. Visitors typically spend two hours on the site during peak season and an hour and a half during the off-season. It is advisable to plan your arrival time. Reservations cannot be guaranteed for the Heritage Weekend in mid-September. From October 1st to April 15th: Abbey and tasting cellar: Tuesday to Friday, 2 pm to 6 pm. Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays: 10 am to 6 pm. Closed on Mondays. Closed Saturday and Sunday mornings in January. FROM APRIL 15 TO SEPTEMBER 30 Abbey and tasting cellar: Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am to 7 pm. Closed on Mondays, except Mondays in July, August, and September. Winemaker's Restaurant: Reopening April 15, 2025
