Historic 16th century castle
Built at the end of the reign of Francis I, this château is distinguished by its layout around a tall central tower flanked by two watchtowers, characteristic elements of the defensive architecture of the period.
Under the influence of Richelieu, the château was enlarged with the addition of two pavilions in a more classical style, offering a harmonious contrast to the original structure. This blend of styles makes the château particularly interesting to explore, combining Renaissance elegance with more modern touches from the 17th century.
