Royal Castle of Cazeneuve - Cultural Visit
The Château de Cazeneuve , located near Bordeaux, is a historic residence, formerly owned by the Kings of Navarre, King Henry IV and Queen Margot, and currently the home of the Ducal Sabran-Pontevès family. The château is nestled in a large, wooded park, bisected by the Ciron River and surrounded by stunning scenery.
Things to discover during your visit:
The Château de Cazeneuve offers a journey through time, with a guided tour of its royal apartments furnished in period style. You can discover the 17th-century patio , the Troglodyte Caves , as well as the Gallo-Roman Nymphaeum and the Merovingian Sarcophagi .
Don't miss the visit to the Great Medieval Cellars , where prestigious Bordeaux wines age, as well as the Exhibitions of Antique Glassware .
The Chemin de Ronde , which overlooks the river from a height of 25 meters, offers a breathtaking panorama and a guaranteed moment of emotion.

Cazeneuve Castle

Features include period-furnished royal apartments, vast underground medieval cellars where prestigious Bordeaux wines age, troglodyte caves beneath the castle, and exhibitions. A large wooded park stretches along the famous Ciron gorges, and visitors can explore the remains of the medieval old town, walking paths, the Queen's Grotto, a pond with a mill, a wash house, a bird island, and a giant bamboo grove.
