Sedaiges Castle
A military stronghold since the 12th century, the Château de Sedaiges witnessed and participated in the Franco-English struggles in medieval Auvergne. Rebuilt as a fortress in the 15th century and embellished in the 18th century, this impressive château also offers a unique example of 19th-century Troubadour architecture. The same family has always occupied it, allowing it to retain its spectacular interior decoration. In these private salons, scenes from the life of a family from the last century come to life. Period figures and costumes, antique games, and ceremonial tableware—the facets of a vanished world gleam within the setting of listed wood paneling and tapestries.
Bed and breakfast at the château from May 1st to September 30th.
