Description
Clos Lucé is one of the jewels of the Renaissance. It is also one of the most richly furnished residences in the Loire Valley. Aside from the humble dwelling in Vinci where he was born, Clos Lucé was Leonardo da Vinci's only home. He lived there for three years, from 1516 to 1519, and spent his final days there. 
In the model room of Clos-Lucé, 40 of the extraordinary machines from Leonardo's imagination and made by IBM are presented: military, maritime, hydraulic, mechanical and aeronautical inventions... The collection of 40 machines from Clos-Lucé favours Leonardo's most visionary projects. 
Clos-Lucé is a place that regularly hosts French and foreign television crews for scientific and cultural programs, tourist reports, news reports...

Amboise It was at the Château du Clos Lucé, at the invitation of Francis I, that <strong>Leonardo da Vinci</strong> spent the last three years of his life, dedicating himself to perfecting his inventions. Prolific and inspired, he worked as an engineer, architect, and even stage director, organizing sumptuous festivities for the Court. In his residence, located 300 meters from the Royal Château, he drew up plans for a model château for Francis I at Romorantin and designed the double-helix staircase at Chambord. The Château du Clos Lucé is now a cultural park that allows visitors to discover and understand the world of the Italian Master.
