Villers Manor
The Manoir de Villers (16th and 19th centuries - Listed Historical Monument) is located in the Seine Valley.
Guided tour on the evolution of Art Deco and its links to history.
Situated between a courtyard and a garden, the Manoir de Villers was, in 1581, a "Maison de Maître" (manor house) built of Caumont stone with a half-timbered upper floor and covered with small tiles. It was transformed and enlarged over the centuries, eventually becoming this grand Neo-Norman manor house with roofs inspired by the finest houses of Rouen and facades adorned with a curious trompe-l'oeil (architect: Lassire).
A vestige of the past, the manor bears witness to daily rural life; a "country house" for prominent figures from Rouen, it evokes a lifestyle of honors, obligations, and pleasures.
Classical, romantic, impressionist, and contemporary park.
