Following in the footsteps of Antiquity, this site reveals interesting Gallo-Roman remains , evidence of the earliest human settlements. The main building, a former priory dedicated to Saint George , was built between the 12th, 13th and 15th centuries in the pure Angevin Gothic style, characterized by the elegance of its lines and the lightness of its vaults.
Recently restored, the priory has revealed exceptional, meticulously preserved interior wall decorations that further enhance the authenticity of the site. This discreet yet remarkable heritage offers a true journey through the centuries, between medieval spirituality and Roman history.
