Vaulserre Castle
Exceptional Chateaus & Castles
Our history
The 500 square meters of terraces surrounding this beautiful Dauphiné residence offer a magnificent panorama stretching to the foothills of Savoy. This fortified house was built by the Clermont family and passed into the hands of the Vaulserre family in 1567. The Vaulserre family died out in 1945, and the château then came into the possession of a niece, the Viscountess de Courville, mother of the current owner.
Visitors will be captivated by the reflecting pool garden, shaded by rare species of trees and dotted with marble statues. Upon entering the château, an imposing vestibule is entirely decorated with superb trompe-l'oeil paintings, the work of 18th-century artists.
