Our history
Built between 1660 and 1663 according to the plans of François Mansart, the Château of the Count of Tréville—the famous captain of the King's Musketeers—embodies all the refinement of 17th-century French classical architecture. This small, understated, and elegant château is nestled in the heart of a 6-hectare park, where tree-lined avenues, ancient trees, and magnificent giant magnolias punctuate the landscape with majestic greenery.
Its south façade opens onto a charming, meticulously arranged French garden, which underscores the overall architectural balance. The eye is drawn to the distant mountains, which form a striking natural backdrop, lending the site an almost theatrical dimension. This discreet yet noble residence perfectly blends a bucolic setting with historical prestige, constantly evoking the elegance and panache of its illustrious builder.
