The Tower of Naud
Exceptional Chateaus & Castles
Our history
A vestige of an old medieval castle, the Tour de Naud stands proudly in the heart of a rolling landscape. Erected in the Middle Ages, it once served as a strategic lookout post, watching over the surrounding area. With its thick walls, massive base, and austere appearance, the tower evokes the era of local lordships and feudal conflicts. Today, the tower overlooks an Italian-inspired park, laid out in the early 20th century by the English aristocrat Violet Trefusis.
Structured in perfect harmony with the terrain and architectural features, including the listed ruins of a 12th-century Benedictine priory, this meticulously designed garden offers surprises and discoveries along the way. The property overlooks the village church, renowned for its exceptional Gothic portal.
