Saint-Michel de Grandmont Priory

Listed as a historical monument, the Priory of Saint-Michel de Grandmont is situated in a location that has enjoyed a privileged position since prehistoric times, in a prestigious setting overlooking the surrounding landscapes: the sea, the mountains, and the Hérault Valley. The inherent spirituality of this place is expressed through a flourishing of monuments from the late Neolithic period to the Middle Ages.
It is the only monastery of the Order of Grandmont that survives in its entirety from the 12th and 13th centuries: the Romanesque church, the cloister, the chapter house, the monks' hall, and the Chapel of Saint Michael.
