Exceptional Chateaus & Castles
Our history
This remarkable group of buildings bears witness to the history of the Priory of Saint-Michel , formerly attached to the Benedictine Abbey of Saint-Hubert in the Ardennes. Founded in the 12th century by Dudon de Cons and his wife Hadwige de Chiny , the priory succeeded an old castle, the memory of which it still preserves today.
Benedictine monks occupied the site until the mid-18th century , leaving behind a striking spiritual and architectural legacy, visible through the structures still standing.
