Victor Hugo Museum

Villequier preserves the memory of Victor Hugo's visits, as well as that of his wife, children, and the Vacquerie family, who owned the house on the banks of the Seine where the museum is now located.
In this bourgeois residence, with its restored period decor, the collections evoke the memory of the tragic drowning of Léopoldine Hugo and her husband, Charles Vacquerie, and pay tribute to Victor Hugo through a wide range of works: paintings, sculptures, engravings, furniture, autograph documents, vintage photographs from the Hugo Vacquerie Studio, rare editions, and a significant collection of Victor Hugo's drawings.
