Martinvast Castle & Floral Park

The Château de Martinvast was built in three different centuries: the 11th, 16th, and 19th. Located 5 km from Cherbourg, it boasts an exceptional 100-hectare English-style park with woods, meadows, gardens, ponds, waterfalls, and follies, including an 18th-century obelisk. The setting of the Parc Floral de Martinvast offers visitors peaceful encounters with animals: horses, llamas, donkeys, goats, and ducks in the three ponds. Numerous clumps of tree rhododendrons and gunneras thrive sheltered by exotic conifers in the "Reserved Garden." The Domaine de Beaurepaire, acquired in 2021, is being renovated and is now open to the public under the name "L'Épopée des Sens - Domaine de Beaurepaire" (The Epic of the Senses - Domaine de Beaurepaire ).
