Our history

Jeanne de Montai had this château built between 1523 and 1534 for her son Robert. Remarkable for its richly decorated staircase in the purest Renaissance style and for its sculpted façades , the château was nevertheless converted into a farm during the French Revolution and stripped of its ornamentation during the 19th century. Its current owner has managed to reconstruct a significant collection of furniture and tapestries.
