Our history
Near a charming village, at the end of a majestic avenue lined with plane trees, stands the Château de Lésigny. Built in 1508 for Louis de Poncher, secretary to the King and a powerful financier, the château has undergone numerous renovations and embellishments over the centuries. Lésigny has belonged to many historical figures: Concini, the Duke of Luynes, and the Duke of Bourbon-Penthièvre, grandson of Louis XIV and Madame de Montespan. But the château, surrounded by moats and ponds, situated in the middle of a 55-hectare park, also had the honor of hosting several crowned heads, such as Marie de Medici, Catherine de Medici, and Louis XIII, who, as a teenager, was initiated there into the art of hunting and venery.
