Our history
Surrounded by woods and greenery, the Louis XIII-style Château de Léhélec offers a beautiful vista to the south, overlooking its three courtyards bordered by substantial 16th- and 18th-century outbuildings whose dormer windows alternate between triangular and semicircular arches. This property, still inhabited, has been in the same family since 1578. It came into the family through the marriage of François Le Mintier, who was governor of Redon, to Marie Bocan, Lady of Léhélec.
The château was built around 1660 by Jean Le Mintier, one of the King's Hundred Gentlemen of the Household. It is listed as a Historic Monument.
