Exceptional Chateaus & Castles

Our history

This small pink brick castle, originally a city gate and later a prison, was built at the end of the 14th century. Louis XI, during renovations, added the Notre-Dame gate. Its elongated machicolations and the pink dome of its bell tower give it a distinctive appearance within military architecture. It houses the Catalan Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions.
