Château du Bouilh

A royal masterpiece by the architect Victor Louis, this majestic château was built on the orders of the Marquis de la Tour du Pin to house Louis XVI in a setting befitting his grandeur. Inside, visitors are immediately struck by a sumptuous staircase designed by Louis, which opens onto a suite of richly furnished state rooms, reflecting the splendor and refinement of the era.

The estate extends well beyond the main castle: it includes remarkable former outbuildings in the shape of a semi-ellipse, a delicate chapel of great architectural finesse, and a dovecote dating from the 15th century, a rare historical vestige. A water tower completes this ensemble, illustrating the technical ingenuity of the builders.
