Our history

On the border of Berry and Sologne, at the gateway to the Sancerre region, this 16th and 17th-century château , designed by Androuët du Cerceau, has been the setting for numerous stories and secret relationships in the past, involving not only Condé but also Scottish families from Mary Stuart to Lord Drummond. Henry IV stayed at the château in 1606. Jean-Gérard and Marie-France Gouëffon de Vaivre welcome you to their home for an enchanting stay.
