Hotel de Rohan

Our history
It was built in 1705 at the initiative of Cardinal Armand-Gaston-Maximilien de Rohan, Bishop of Strasbourg and Grand Almoner of France, on land at the eastern edge of the estate. The work was entrusted to Pierre-Alexis Delamair, whom Armand Gaston had recommended to his parents for the construction of the Soubise Palace.
The interior decoration dates from the time of the second occupant of the Hôtel de Rohan, Cardinal de Soubise in 1747 and grandson of Hercule-Mériadec. Louis-Constantin de Rohan-Montbazon (1697–1779) succeeded him, followed by Louis-René-Édouard de Rohan (1734–1803), Ambassador and Grand Almoner of France, who became embroiled in the infamous "Affair of the Necklace."
The Hôtel de Rohan does not host private receptions.
