Located 20 km north of Pontoise, the Val-d'Oise departmental archaeological museum in Guiry-en-Vexin offers a fascinating glimpse into the history of human occupation. Spread across 11 rooms, its collection presents archaeological objects covering a very broad period, from the Lower Paleolithic, around 300,000 years ago, to the Merovingian era around 750 AD.
