Château de la Foltière

The Château de la Foltière is a grand, two-story residence dating from the first half of the 19th century, situated in a romantic setting near Mont Saint-Michel and the medieval town of Fougères . The property's origins date back to the 15th century. On the site of the present château stood a manor house that served as the headquarters of the royalist army during the French Revolution. The south façade features a central projecting section with pediments, while the north façade has two lateral projecting sections. Five spacious and very comfortable bedrooms, superbly appointed, occupy the first floor. They are accessed by an elevator and a grand staircase leading to a vast, coffered-ceilinged hall. They offer magnificent views over an exceptional 20-hectare parkland adorned with 15 remarkable gardens that inspire awe.
