Fléville Castle

A large, 30-meter-high keep dominates the monument: built around 1320 and spared by Richelieu at the request of King Louis XIII of France, it testifies to the site's antiquity.

The building dates from the Renaissance and was completed in 1533. It symbolizes the architectural art of the early Renaissance in France, that of the Loire Valley châteaux.
A grand 35-meter balcony runs the length of the façade, beautiful dormer windows crown the structure, and the overall harmony makes it one of the most beautiful châteaux in Lorraine.
Inside, the great Hall of the Estates of Lorraine recounts the history of the Dukes of Lorraine, followed by the so-called Stanislas Room and numerous other rooms where one can glimpse the private life of a family that has lived there for 190 years.
The château and its grounds are listed as Historic Monuments. It is located 10 km south of Nancy and is easily accessible by various means of transport.
