Our history

Built in the 17th century by the architect Libéral Bruant for Marshal de La Mothe Houdancourt, Duke of Fayel and Cordone, the Château de Fayel is a rare example of French classical architecture. An exact replica of the hunting lodge at Versailles built under Louis XIII, it preceded the grand château of Louis XIV. Nestled in a park designed by André Le Nôtre, this estate embodies the elegance and harmony of the Grand Siècle.
