Magrin
Exceptional Chateaus & Castles
Our history
This prosperous agricultural community has long been renowned for its cultivation of woad, a dye plant whose revival is now being encouraged, as well as for its cereal-growing tradition, particularly its famous wheat brioche. Once home to three consulates, the town still preserves two architectural gems from that era: the churches of Saint-André and Saint-Salvy, precious witnesses to its rich religious and communal past.
Visitors can enjoy an authentic stay at the farm campsite in Saysinel, which combines modern comforts with a rural atmosphere. Food lovers will appreciate the local produce available, while history buffs will enjoy discovering the historic Magrin Castle, a true symbol of local heritage.
