Châteaugiron Castle

Châteaugiron, labeled "Small Town of Character of Brittany" and "Green Holiday Resort", is distinguished by a remarkable architectural ensemble, the result of several eras.

The castle illustrates this richness with the juxtaposition of historical buildings. The keep, dating from the 13th century, rises 38 meters above the steepest part of the rock, which was once bordered by a pond.

Surrounding the large medieval residence, remodeled in the 18th century, are the Clock Tower, the Cardinal Tower, and the Watchtower. This residence is particularly distinguished by its grand interior staircase, a true architectural masterpiece.
