Our history
Located in Rueil-Malmaison, a stone's throw from the famous Château de Malmaison, the Château de la Petite Malmaison is a jewel of neoclassical style, intimately linked to the history of Empress Josephine. Built between 1803 and 1805, this elegant pavilion was designed to house the tropical greenhouses and exotic botanical collections of Napoleon Bonaparte's wife, a passionate botanist.
Surrounded by a landscaped park with rare species, the castle seduces with the finesse of its architecture and the richness of its interior decorations: painted ceilings, delicate woodwork and period furniture transport the visitor into the hushed atmosphere of the imperial salons.
Now a listed historical monument, the Château de la Petite Malmaison is a place of memory, but also of elegance and culture. It regularly hosts exhibitions, concerts and private events in an intimate setting steeped in history.
A discreet and refined imperial setting, where the charm of the gardens and the prestige of history come together with grace.
