Our history
The Medieval Castle of Vénéjan in the Gard Provençal region, with its open-air terrace overlooking the village and valley, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the village, the surrounding countryside, and the nearby 12th-century Saint-Pierre Chapel.
In a privileged region bathed in light and warmth, we are in Provence...
The Château de Vénéjan is situated on a hill overlooking the old village of Vénéjan, in the Gard department, between Bagnols-sur-Cèze and Pont-Saint-Esprit, and the Rhône Valley.
This fully restored medieval site, inhabited by its owners (built in the early 14th century by Pierre de Béziers, during the reign of Philip the Fair), invites you to explore a collection of open-air spaces imbued with grandeur and charm.
An artist's home and a preserved haven, the Château de Vénéjan welcomes you and offers unforgettable moments for up to 8 people.
Free Wi-Fi available on site.
Access is via a long pine-lined driveway that winds through a landscaped park, between gardens and the romantic remains of the old fortress.
For filming, with parking for around one hundred vehicles and all the necessary facilities for a film crew, the château is registered with the Occitanie Film Commission.
The site—categorized as a "château/estate" within a rural, park, and village setting—also appeals to audiovisual productions for its architectural authenticity and preserved natural scenery.
