Our history

Double-headed lions and scrolling foliage: the charm of this 17th-century château is on full display at the gate. However, it is behind the main building, on the side of the beautifully walled garden, that the true poetry of Brécy is revealed. An exquisite homage to the goddess Flora: five terraces here unfold with parterres of intricate embroidery and vegetal allegories, griffins and chimeras, in a harmony of acanthus-clad balusters, pilasters crowned with finials, and a gate open to the sky—a marvelous invitation to stroll.
