Our history

Located between Cluny and Tournus, in the heart of the Romanesque churches and vineyards of the Mâconnais, the Châtellenie, of ducal then royal origin (10th, 12th, 15th centuries), is the most important stronghold in southern Burgundy, renowned for its rich historical past.

You will be able to discover a church dating from the 12th century, 14th century market halls, as well as a 15th century inn, not forgetting the authenticity of the surrounding medieval houses which complete this unique site.

The castle is open to the public from April 15th to November 1st.
