Our history
In the French Vexin region, less than 70 km from Paris and 40 km from Rouen, this Historic Monument, designed by the renowned architect Jules Hardouin-Mansart, is a prime example of late 17th-century French classical style. Built in just four years, from 1685 to 1689, at the behest of Guillaume Aubourg, the first Marquis de Boury, it features two elegant outbuildings on either side of the main courtyard: the Orangery and the Stables, which harmoniously complement this unique architectural ensemble. The exceptional sculptures adorning the property are by Michel Poissant, a great sculptor from Gisors who would later contribute to Versailles. An 18th-century-style orchard and a large wooded park, crossed by a charming little stream, along with topiary boxwood in the main courtyard, complete the harmonious setting. Finally, there is a remarkable icehouse.
