Bizy Castle

On the outskirts of Vernon, the Château de Bizy offers visitors the pleasure of discovering the charm of its park, adorned with sculpted fountains (the Neptune fountain with lions, the water staircase, the Gribouille fountain, the Sea Horse fountain, the Dolphin basin, etc.), and its stables, built in 1741, which earned it the nickname "the Norman Versailles."

A royal residence, the estate belonged, among others, to Louis XV, the Duke of Penthièvre, and then to the last King of the French, Louis-Philippe.

Its refined interiors display mementos of the First Empire, collected by the descendants of the Bonaparte brothers and Marshal Suchet, the Dukes of Albufera. This family still resides and owns the château today.
