Our history

Annecy Castle overlooks the old town of Annecy. This vast castle, which was threatened with demolition in the early 1950s, was fortunately restored. While the buildings themselves are worth a visit, the three museums they house are equally worthwhile. The castle contains a museum of archaeology and folk art, a museum of ecological sciences, and a contemporary art gallery.
