Our history
Albi was the first capital of blue dye in the 15th century. Albi woad has always been synonymous with the finest dye quality in the history of this "land of plenty." Woad was then exported to much of Europe, generating a very prosperous trade. Numerous vestiges of this rich era remain, notably remarkable Renaissance mansions and the interior decorations of the cathedral.
