Our history

Villers-Canivet Abbey is an exceptional ensemble, a true architectural treasure saved from oblivion. Founded in 1127 to house a community of nuns, it unfolds within a vast 30-hectare abbey enclosure, still protected by an impressive 2-kilometer-long cloister wall.
