Our history
The Cistercian Abbey of Quincy was founded in 1133 as a daughter house of Pontigny, on a small tributary of the Armançon River. The complex of buildings—the guesthouse, the abbot's residence, and part of the cloister buildings—offers a charming medieval setting, reflecting periods from the 12th to the 15th centuries.
In a solitary and mystical location, the Abbey of Quincy has preserved its authenticity, a testament to the simplicity and beauty of Cistercian art.
