A grand castle in a magnificent park

The Château de Montsymond, spanning 1000m², is located near the medieval town of Romenay and offers all amenities. Tournus, the gastronomic capital of Burgundy with its four Michelin-starred restaurants, is just 15 minutes away. Enjoying a privileged location in the heart of the countryside, surrounded by fields and small lakes, the area is ideal for jogging, walking, and cycling, with trails starting right from the château. The château boasts 10 luxurious bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom, as well as a children's bedroom. The expansive, fully equipped kitchen opens directly onto the pool terrace, fostering a convivial atmosphere. The annex offers a complete wellness area with a gym (weight training and cardio), sauna and hammam, as well as a massage room (a local masseuse offers her services on-site).

The Château is situated in the heart of a beautiful 7-hectare park, with its centuries-old trees, fishing pond, and heated swimming pool. A large courtyard provides parking for about ten vehicles. The Château enjoys complete privacy with no overlooking neighbors.

All the rooms retain their original, high-quality materials: antique parquet floors, French-style ceilings, fireplaces, and period doors and windows. Nearly a year of renovations were required to provide you with all the modern comforts. The bedrooms are well-spaced, allowing for greater privacy. The décor and furnishings have been chosen with the utmost care, a truly exceptional blend of tradition and modernity. Leisure activities and entertainment on site

• The swimming pool: The 5 x 11m swimming pool is heated*. It is open from April 1st to October (exact dates depend on the weather). Its depth starts at a shallow end of one meter and decreases to approximately 1.60m. The pool is equipped with an automated roller shutter, ensuring children's safety. Sun loungers will enhance your sunny afternoons, and there is an outdoor lounge area for your lunches and dinners by the water. *The pool heating system is an air-source heat pump. The pump uses the heat from the air to warm the circulating water; therefore, we cannot guarantee a water temperature if the air temperature is below 15°C.
• The wellness annex: Part of the Château's outbuildings is entirely dedicated to wellness and fitness. The fitness and weight training area is equipped with:

  A music tower with Bluetooth connectivity allows you to work out to music. A fully equipped massage room is located on the first floor.

• Children's play area: A play area for toddlers, with a slide and swings, is located near the swimming pool.
• Football Goals & Volleyball Net: A pair of football goals and a volleyball net are set up on the lawn near the castle. Suitable balls are available.
• Barbecue: A traditional barbecue is available near the swimming pool and the "country gazebo".

• Billiard Room: A small ground floor lounge, with its 16th-century painted ceiling, has been converted into an English-style pool billiard room.
• Poker & Chess Room: A small ground floor lounge, with its 16th-century painted ceiling, is converted into a Poker room with a professional gaming table (and case of chips) as well as a chess table.
• Internet: You will be able to connect your laptop to the internet via the free Wi-Fi network available throughout the Castle.
• Giant trampoline located near the swimming pool.
• Four hybrid bikes and two child seats are available for your free rides.
• Pétanque: We provide a set of 16 pétanque balls. A pétanque court is located near the Château.
• Table Tennis 2 ping-pong tables (as well as rackets and balls are at your disposal, one outside and one inside.
• Private fishing pond. A fishing pond is located within the property's grounds. It covers an area of approximately 1 hectare. You can fish for carp, pike, and small fish. Two fishing rods are available free of charge (excluding accessories); lines and accessories can be purchased in local shops (for example, at the supermarket in Romenay).
• Tennis: There is a tennis court in the town of Romenay, 3km from the Château. Rackets and balls are available at the Château.
• Games Room: A large (60m2) games room on the 2nd floor of the Castle offers various activities.

Board Games: A selection of board games, in French, is available in the games room: Scrabble, Monopoly, chess, checkers, card games, puzzles, etc. Television: The castle is equipped with 6 television screens and 5 Blu-ray DVD players: - A large High Definition screen in the living room, with a Blu-ray DVD player and Astra satellite receiver. - A High Definition screen in 3 bedrooms, equipped with a Blu-ray DVD player. - A High Definition screen, equipped with a PlayStation 3 and its Blu-ray DVD player in the games room. - A small television with a DVD player in the baby/child's room (cartoons available).
